I think a lot of people in SLC right now can say that the weather this spring has been anything but consistent! I find myself waking up in the morning and not knowing if I want to go skiing or hiking. If I go skiing it will be fun, warm, spring corn skiing... but if choose hiking, I most likely need micro spikes and snow gear.
Both are great options! I can't go wrong!!
I am excited to continue ski touring after the resorts close this spring and even more excited to hike huge mountains this summer. I have a lot of big goals for the summer including some 14ers in California, hiking the tallest peaks in Utah, the Wasatch Ultimate Ridgeline Link up, and so much more.
I am so lucky that my body allows me to do these long hikes (sometimes with a lot of exposure) and it keeps me safe. I have been working really hard taking care of my body by making it the strongest possible. I work on healthy eating, stretching, agility, strength training, conditioning, running, but most importantly mental training.
I am stoked for what the future has in store!
